HOW TO CHOOSE A HAIRPIECE
Choosing a hair system doesn’t mean “buying hair”.
It means correctly configuring 5 key elements to achieve a natural result that suits your appearance.
Many ordering mistakes happen because choices are made without a clear method.
Below, you’ll find the right process to follow.
Hair prosthesis or wig? They’re not the same thing.
A hair prosthesis is not a wig.
The main differences are:
- Structure
- Application method
- Aesthetic effect
- Stability
Key difference
The wig sits on top.
The hairpiece blends in.
One is removable every day.
The other becomes part of your look for days or weeks.
When should you choose a wig?
- Temporary use
- Temporary medical needs
- Occasional change of look
When should you choose a hair system?
- Stable thinning
- Androgenetic alopecia
- Looking for a natural, long-lasting result
- Integration with your own hair
We don't sell wigs, but hair systems with and without clips.
THE 5 FUNDAMENTAL STEPS
1️⃣ Identify your degree of hair loss
First, you need to understand how much area needs to be covered.
Not all hair systems cover the entire scalp:
in many cases, a frontal or partial hair system is all you need.
👉 Check out our guide to the Norwood Scale to identify your level and the recommended solution.
2️⃣ Choose the right size
A hair system that is too large creates excessive bulk.
One that is too small won’t cover the thinning area properly.
You can choose from:
- Frontal
- Partial
- Full
- Custom hair system
It’s essential to measure the area to be covered correctly.
👉 Go to our guide on how to take measurements.
3️⃣ Choose the color
Choose the color based on the hair on the sides and back of your head, not on photos online.
The most common mistake is choosing a shade that’s too dark.
If in doubt, it’s always better to go slightly lighter than too dark.
👉 See the color selection guide.
4️⃣ Choose the density
Density determines how full the final result will look.
Too high a density = an unnatural look.
Too low a density = insufficient coverage.
Your choice should be consistent with:
- age
- area to cover
- desired look
👉 Go to the guide to density.
5️⃣ Choose the hair type and base
You need to decide on:
- Straight, wavy, or curly
- Lace (breathable)
- Skin (invisible)
- Hybrid (a compromise)
Each material has advantages and limitations.
👉 See the complete guide to base types.
